Gennaro Ferra's Powerpose is a whole body workout experience which burns fat fast and sculpts the body like no other exercise program can. It combines elements of yoga, tai chi and Gennaro's classic physique poses with flowing movement set to inspiring music. Gennaro's Powerpose involves the contraction and elongation of specific muscle groups while strengthening the core to form a graceful and highly intense fitness routine.


Powerpose does not require any equipment or facilities. Gennaro and his team teach you at your home, office, gym or outdoors to the music of your choice. Powerpose is safer than most other exercise programs. The movements are fluid and controlled and there is no bouncing, jumping or lifting of heavy loads. "The only resistance is the one I teach you to create with your mind and body".

The benefits are numerous including improvements in balance, coordination, posture, increased muscle definition and strength, fat loss and greater confidence. It is enjoyed by all levels and age groups and can be modified for those with limited range of motion and skill level.

I have noticed a major change in my posture since taking Gennaro's Powerpose class! This is a great way to work out muscles that cardio nor weights can tackle! During the sweep and squats my entire body was shaking, in a good way!
What is interesting is that during the class, it was not only a physical effort, but a mental effort as well. For instance in the Bodysqueeze, I had to mentally focus on the muscle groups in my chest to work them out! Powerpose made me sweat. It stimulated areas in my back that I don't usually work out during weight training, and it tested my balance.
I injured my shoulder last year, and since then, I haven't used weights on my shoulders since these areas are an extremely delicate part of the body. Powerpose is a great alternative to these excercises since they are safe and extremely effective in focusing on a muscle group.

Gennaro has created a program that is amazing. The movements in his program force you to isolate and focus completely on the muscles you're using. Then when you think you cant hold it any longer, he transitions into the next pose working a different group of muscles. He keeps his classes small so he's able to watch each students form to maximize their results. The music and movement he uses put you in a sort of meditative state, while your muscles are working hard. After my first session I felt tighter than ever! You definitely should try Powerpose.
