New York City Shakes
Theyre great mate!
The best time to consume your shakes are between meals and directly after exercise. My top four protein powders for effectiveness and flavor are:
1.Jay Robbs Whey Protein JR's is an all natural whey proetin concentrate which is low in calories and carbs and high in protein. It has no artificial sweeteners or colors using the natural herb stevia to sweeten. It mixes very easliy in a shaker with water or a variety of milks. I love it best with almond milk, crushed berries and lotsa ice cubes in a tall glass.
2.Evopro by Cytosport A very creamy and tasty powder, yet low in Carbs, Evopro has the added benefit of containing Whey Protein Isolates, as well as Caseins, which release protein slowly providing a sustained positive nitrogen balance that increases your anabolic potential. My favourite flave is Cookies n' Cream. It's even Creamier with Edensoy original soy milk. A great post workout or late night snack when you absolutely have to have something.
3.Advanced Whey by Prolab This powder is fortified with L-glutamine so you recover a lot quicker between sessions. Its one of the best tasting, shaken with spring water alone, and added to your oatmeal in the morning. Chocolate and Strawberry are nice. Dont forget your sprinkle of spices below.
4.Designer Whey Protein by Next Proteins A very light tasting powder that dissolves well in a shaker and tastes great with almond milk, a pinch of cinnamon and nutmeg. Pack a shake in your gym bag and drink with a banana after your workout. I like chocolate and vanilla .
